STUDY THE TEACHINGS OF CHUN SEUNG WON
Chun Seung is a traditional system of education passed down within the Song family of ancient China and modern day Korea. These traditions were passed down strictly father to son as well as to selected disciples of the Chun Seung Masters. Our teachings are tools to "live a sincere and serious life" and to develop into "a good life practitioner." The true origin martial art is called "Jung Do". Jung Do is the Korean to English translation that means "Way of Life". Martial arts are intended to be a way of life, an everyday practice of a quality life. Traditional martial arts are not just lessons conducted in the school and forgotten once the student steps outside the school walls. Grandmaster Song is the current leader of Chun Seung and continues to preserved and pass on the traditions to accepted students and disciples.
In the tradition of martial arts education, all students are interviewed before they are accepted as a student. The most important characteristic for any instructor, student or potential student is an open mind. As the traditional martial arts teach, "empty your cup, so it can be filled with knowledge." Chun Seung currently teaches the following traditional martial arts.
TRADITIONAL MARTIAL ARTS OF CHUN SEUNG WON
Shaolin and Tai Chi are traditional martial arts of China. Soo Bak Ki is a traditional martial art of Korea and is composed of the modern day martial arts of Tae Kwon Do, Hap Ki do and Moo Sa Sool (Weaponry). All traditional martial arts of Chun Seung are taught in their pure form by Grandmaster Song, his disciples and instructors.
Traditional martial arts share the same root as eastern medicine. That root is "ki" or "life force". Chun Seung's studies are intended to develop and maintain a proper balance of energy in life. Under the umbrella of traditional martial arts and eastern medicine are several essential areas of study. These essential areas of study combine to develop a strong healthy mind and body as well as a healthy life.
